Announcement: IT'S A ...

It's a job!!

After over a year of job hunting, Danny has finally gotten a job offer!

He will be working with the Fourth District Court in Provo, UT as a law clerk bailiff.  His duties will include doing legal research and working closely with a judge.

We are really excited about what other jobs this will open up for him, given the awesome networking opportunities he'll have while working for a judge!

The position officially starts in August, but Danny will have P.O.S.T. in May-June.  In the meantime, he'll be working again with the Attorney General's Office to help on a high-profile murder case.  And that's fortunate too, because the AG's Office had to let him go in January due to a statute about "student" positions stating that employment has to end within 75 days after licensed to the state Bar.  But, somehow, they were able to work it so Danny will help them on this case up to the time he starts P.O.S.T.  It's amazing how the timing of everything is so perfect.  It definitely seems "meant-to-be."

So, we won't be going to California* after all.

And that makes my family very happy.  But probably the happiest of all is my 12-year old baby sister Jess: upon finding out that Danny got the position in Provo, she ran, jumped up on me, and hugged me, saying, "That means you don't have to move to California!!"

It's nice to feel so loved!

*He will still be taking the California Bar Exam at the end of February (three days of grueling testing), since we've already paid for it and he's spent a lot of time studying for it already.  Plus, we'll still have the option of going to California if we ever need/want to.

  1. I am also so happy you don't have to move to California! Yea! Congrats on the job to Danny. Now I wish we didn't have to move so far away either.

  2. I am so happy for you guys! That is awesome! So is Danny still going to take the California Bar exam? I am probably in the minority when I say that I am not thrilled you won't be in California (assuming we ever make it there, of course). Danny will no doubt be seeing a lot of our cases as he's working in Provo...

    Congrats!
