Did you know that there are currently over 10,000 attorneys licensed in the state of Utah?

Actually, I'm not sure on those numbers ... I heard something like that at Danny's swearing-in ceremony yesterday. But if that statistic is correct, then Danny is one of those 10,000. If not, well, he's still a licensed member of the UTAH STATE BAR!
It was an emotional day for us both -- the culmination of over 4 years of work (and money!):
studying for the LSAT in 2005 (and taking it twice), (paying for the LSAT, twice),
applying for law school, (paying to apply for law school),
starting law school, (paying to start law school),
applying as a transfer student, (paying to apply as a transfer student),
moving to from Maryland to Utah, (sleeping in a moving truck in the parking lot of a "Sleep Inn" hotel in Wyoming),
attending the second year of law school while completing the master's degree, (paying out-of-state tuition for graduate school and law school),
finishing law school, (paying to graduate)
studying for the Bar Exam, (paying to apply for the Bar Exam),
taking the Bar Exam, (paying to actually take the Bar Exam),
waiting to find out about passing the Bar Exam,
and finally paying to be a member of the Utah State Bar.
Obviously, it's been a long (and expensive!) road for us.
I am so proud of Danny for having worked so hard these past several years!! Now when people ask what he does for a living, we can proclaim that he's an attorney (or a lawyer, or a counselor-at-law, etc.). Wow! Good job Danny! What a lot of work. That sounds like the next two years for us, and yes, that money adds up fast! I especially like the trip from Maryland to Utah were you slept in the hotel parking lot. We had a night kind of like that in San Diego! Lots of fun, eh? Well congrats to you both. We will sure miss you guys!
